A volcanic system has awoken in Iceland after an 800-year slumber. As magma pushes up from underground, it’s swallowing homes and forcing thousands to flee. But in another part of the country scientists and engineers are going to drill into a volcano, hoping to harness magma’s immense power to generate limitless clean energy and solve the planet’s biggest problem.
